Is Spring beginning to show where you’re at? It’s in full bloom here in Atlanta, and I am loving the warmer weather. Not to mention the flowers everywhere are simply lovely. There is something so amazing to me about transitioning from winter into spring. Don’t get me wrong, winter has it’s own kind of beauty. It really does. However after a while it can start to feel a little dulling. Everything is asleep. Everything is white, or grey. It’s so cold! But then the blooms of spring begin to emerge, and so does the feeling of hope. It’s quite a beautiful thing really.
Wardrobe-wise, the transition to spring can be tricky because you’re not fully ready to put away all of your winter gear, but at the same time it is starting to get warm enough that you don’t really need it. Thus, enter in the long-sleeve shirt and shorts outfit. It’s just the right balance between warm enough and cool enough.
Now I know that everyone isn’t a fan of shorts, but let me just encourage you to be bold about it and try it. My legs aren’t perfect. Pregnancy has left me with all kinds of jiggling and cellulite. I mean let’s be real here. The miracle of life is truly amazing, but there are some changes that happen to your body ;). It’s all about confidence and realizing that however your legs look you are absolutely beautiful! That said though, do what you feel grace for and feel confident in.
Personally I try to go for longer shorts. This pair here is about as short as I’m willing to go. Some women can go shorter and feel totally confident, others want to stick to longer shorts. Either way it’ll look great with a long-sleeve top. If you are a little insecure about your legs but want to dive into the world of shorts, I highly recommend trying a longer pair. It might be the baby step you need to feel confident about them. 🙂
Furthermore this is a really an easy and cute look for moms. It’s going to be great for running around the park, chasing the kids. Yet it is also cute enough that you actually look somewhat put together. Win-win in my book!
What do you think about the long-sleeve shirt/shorts combo?
